Supply & Demand

I wear size 11 shoes. It's a hassle to get cute, fitting footwear. I detest shoe shopping because there is a high probability that I will leave empty-handed and possibly barefoot. What annoyed me last weekend was when I asked the sales associate at a popular shoe store, what she had in size 11, she smugly said to me. 'We's don't get a lot of size 11s, only 2 pairs in any style. An as dey come, dey gone, cause people does be waiting fuh dum." Yes, I understand oh too well. I am de people waiting for them.

So wearing my marketing hat, I wondered: if there was a Demand for larger sizes in women's shoes, why don't they just increase the Supply and bring more of the demanded size? I'm lost, disappointed and shoeless. It appears to me that the research shows that there is demand. Lookah, the amount of times that I left their store crying, they should know that 'de market' is NOT satisfied.

Thankfully, in the kingdom of God, there are different rules around Supply & Demand. There is an overabundance of riches! Hallelujah! Now, imagine if you were to send up a prayer to our Father, Who art in Heaven, and the session went like this.

Me:

Almighty God, this is yah girl Natalie, I'm humbly coming before you today with my petition for deliverance in that situation I'm facing in this season. Father, I've been pushing through for a while, and I believe You are going to come through, God. So, Father, please continue to sustain me in this season while I believe and wait.

Daddy God:

My child, I love it when you pray humbly to me and make your request known. You know it really matters to Me, everything concerning you. I see that situation, and I see how your posture is in this season. I know exactly what you need, but unfortunately, I can't provide it right now. You see, we had an unusually large order for deliverance last month for the holiday season. But, if you check back at the end of the month, you may be able to get some. Keep on fighting, my child; your request should be ready soon. Oh, and we a lil low on sustenance too, so be careful how you use up what you have left.

Big joke dat! But seriously—thank God we do not serve a God that operates like a shoe store. He always has enough Supply to meet our Demand regardless of the size. Hallelujah!

But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Family, have confidence that we serve a God who has got our backs and shoe size. He knows our request before we ask, and He also knew we were going to ask a long time ago. He knew that request was coming, and He made provision from eternity past. There is a storeroom with all our blessings stored up and waiting for us to just ask and believe. His riches exceed our needs.
